Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has Signed an MoU with the Child Health Research Foundation. The agreement was signed at the office of the Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr Md.  Sharfuddin Ahmed on Sunday (February 4).

During the contract signing ceremony, Vice Chancellor Dr Sharfuddin Ahmed said that education, service and research in the university have progressed a lot during the current administration. We are working with many reputed institutes domestically and abroad to enhance research. In continuation of this, we are agreeing to work with the Health for Research Foundation. Through the agreement, we will work together to diagnose, prevent and cure the diseases of the people of the country.

He said the achievement of any institution in Bangladesh is the achievement of the country. Therefore, it should be evaluated as the achievement of the entire country rather than the achievement of the institution alone. Child Health for Research Foundation is doing a lot of work for child health. Their work is recognized worldwide. If Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and Child Health Research Foundation work together in research, the health care of the people of this country will increase in the international arena as well.

During the signing of the memorandum of understanding, a Bangladeshi microbiologist and public health expert Samir Kumar Saha, a Bangladeshi microbiologist and public health expert, Director of the Health Research Foundation, microbiologist Senjuti Saha, member of the World Health Organization’s Polio Transition Independent Monitoring Board, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Registrar Professor Dr Mohammad Hafizur Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Neonatology Professor Dr Sanjoy Kumer Dey, Additional Director of Super Specialized HospitalAssociate Professor Dr. Md. Rasul Amin, Associate Professor Dr. Faisal Ibn Kabir, Professor of pharmacology department, Adhir Kumar Das, Associate Professor Dr. Mohammad Zahidul Alam and others were present.
