How to Treat Baby Rashes Naturally
Treating rashes is a bit challenging, and there’s always a fear that it gets worse. Here are a few reliable remedies that you can trust.
Breast milk
You know that it is no less than liquid gold, but you’ll be even more surprised to know that it can treat your child’s skin ailments naturally. It’s totally harmless to use breast milk on rashes and mild allergies. The antibodies and anti-infective properties in the breast milk can work wonders, and you’ll see it working pretty quick, actually.
Organic olive oil
Olive oil is rich in antimicrobial and nourishing properties. It can soothe the irritation and calm the redness as well. The anti-inflammatory properties in olive oil make it a great alternative for being used as a rash treatment option. Take a drop or two and slightly rub it between your palms to make it a little warm, gently pat on the affected skin.
Make your own cleansing water
To make this, you need to mix two tablespoons of baking soda with four cups of warm water, let this dissolve, and use it to clean your baby’s rashes. Baking soda can neutralize acidic reactions and balance the skin’s natural pH levels. It can soothe the itching and redness, as well as combat the microbial agents too.
Prepare the bath
Mix a spoonful of dried oatmeal when you prepare the bath for your baby. Let your baby soak in that goodness for at least 15 minutes, then pat their skin dry. Oatmeal contains Saponins that can open the clogged pores as well as remove excess oils. The anti-inflammatory properties can calm the irritants and heal the rashes.
Pacifier rash cure
To naturally cure pacifier rash, make sure to keep any kind of irritants and fragrant products away from your baby’s skin. It can damage the skin further. Simply rub some petroleum jelly on the rash so that there’s a barrier between the saliva and the skin, you need to keep the skin dry as much as possible.
The only thing that you need to remember is that your baby’s skin is not like yours, it’s way milder, and that is why you should be extremely careful while choosing things. Try to go for the natural alternatives for as long as possible. Keeping the skin dry and moisturizing a little with the oils can benefit to a great extent, have patience, and be consistent.
